A spark plug is a necessary part of a combustion engine, providing a spark that makes your car move. More complicated than that, a spark plug has a very important role in your car’s function.
What a Spark Plug Is
Depending on the size of your engine, you may have one spark plug or many. These plugs are electrodes that are insulated with a glass covering. Small pieces of metal at the base and the top of the spark plug capture the spark and to send electricity from one point to another. The metal “j” part is where the spark will be.

A Spark to Ignite Your Engine
When a vehicle is turned on, the spark plug is fired, causing a spark in the combustion engine. This spark then ignites and combusts the fuel in your vehicle’s gas tank. As a result, the car is able to create pressure in the car’s engine which moves the engine pistons up and down. There needs to be some free space around the plug to have air flow, which will help create the spark.
The spark plug is a small, but vital part of a car. When a spark plug can not ignite, a vehicle will not move.
