The boxy legend is recieving a new version after about a decade of waiting.
Jeep fans and off-road enthusiasts who has been waiting a decade for the new version of an icon. Today it became official that their waiting is soon to be over. Jeep will indeed start production of the 2018 Wrangler later this year. A slide in a Fiat-Chrysler results presentation confirms what had been long rumored, and showed that the reimagined Wrangler will be showed off in November 2017 at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

It’ll tow 3,500 lbs. Its grille and front end will be tweaked, but not overhauled (naturally, since there’s no way Jeep could go away from that iconic design). The doors will be removable. The interior will come better. And, most awesomely, there will be pickup truck version of this beast—eventually (it’s probably coming in 2019).
