While underscoring its traditional position in high-end luxury, the car makers have rolled out the new classics like the XK and XF sedans and this is targeted at Porsche’s sport coupe dominance with the all new F-Type.

Coming with a preview of the C X17 style, the Jaguar F-Pace is a five-passenger crossover that will march up against compact-to-midsize competitors like the Audi Q5, BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC and Porsche Macan. underlining what it calls ” the class-leading interior space and exceptional on road dynamics,” Jaguar is trying to divide the differences between sexy, sporty and family-friendly with the new F-Pace version.
The F-Pace will operate on a new, largely aluminum platform that will be seen in many new Jag models, including the soon to come XE compact sedan and the next XJ and XF brand replacements. This new lightweight construction should help improve fuel economy and overall car performance.
The F-Pace will also showcase a wide array of convenience and safety systems. Autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, laser-lit head-up display, a 10-inch touchscreen media display and even a wearable, weatherproof smart-key wristband are among some of the F-Pace’s unique tech touches.
Power train and Engine performance
The F-Pace will grant a choice of supercharged 3.0-liter V6 engines. The base model will give a 340-horsepower V6, while an upgraded version will produce 380 hp. Both engines will work with an eight-speed transmission. Later in 2016, a 180-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel will come out the scene.
The F-Pace will also feature all-wheel drive and All Surface Progress Control, while the latter helping the vehicle maintain traction on slippery surfaces.
Expected Availability Period and Cost
The Jaguar F-Pace will go on sale this spring starting at a cost of $43,385. Opting for the more powerful 380-hp engine moves the price to $57,695. The diesel model will start at $41,985.
Two of the F-Pace’s primary all-wheel-drive rivals, the Q5 and X3, price range start from $40,225 and $41,350, respectively
