When small, blunt objects hit a windshield, a small cone-shaped impact is formed on the surface thatcould break through the windshield depending on the speed of the object and the vehicle. In contrast, a windshield made from Gorilla Glass will experience little to no impact when coming into contact with the small blunt objects, even at speeds greater than 60 mph. Likewise, a large object hitting a windshieldruns the risk of it giving away to force and breaking open, yet Gorilla Glass windshields flex instead of breaking.
